Taiko Drummer Shuichi Hidano has fused a leading-edge approach to his craft and exceptional taiko drumming skills to open up a world of musical possibilities. Grounded in Japanese drumming tradition, his evolving style and collaborations span genres and continents, performing at FIFA World Cup closing ceremonies and on stage with legendary artists including Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder.
His journey has taken him around the world, creating new music and winning accolades for his concert performances. He has traveled to 39 countries and has done 2700 performances. He has also earned him a worldwide reputation as session musician known for his versatility and creativity. Shuichi has released several CDs, as well as creating taiko training books and videos for drummers from entry level to professionals.
